Shiv R. Jhawar is the author of "Building a Noble World" and founder of Noble World Foundation, a non-profit organization, which works to enlighten, educate, and inspire people in building a peaceful world.
Jhawar was born in India where he received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Calcutta with First Class Honors and a professional certificate of Chartered Accountant. He came to the United States in the early 1970s. After completing his Master's degree in Accounting Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he moved on to serve as a Chief Accounts Analyst for CBS Television. In 1979, he qualified as an Enrolled Agent to practice before the IRS and started his own tax accounting firm in Chicago.
While in Chicago, Jhawar met Swami Muktananda, an eminent yogi and celebrated author of the book, Play of Consciousness. Recalling his divine experience in the presence of Swami Muktananda on September 16, 1974, Jhawar writes, "Once you have an experience of transcendental reality, you are changed forever." Since that day, he has been practicing yoga and contributing to other's happiness and perfection through his talks and writing.
Jhawar lives in Chicago and balances the pursuit of his professional goals with the practice of spirituality. He is a professional speaker who blends spirituality, politics, history, and science in a unique and powerful way. Gifted with the ability to communicate profound concepts clearly, Jhawar has been giving talks both in the United States and abroad.
